About the role#
ImpactLife is looking for a Donor Relations Intern to join our team at Eastern Illinois University. This role focuses on promoting the importance of blood donations on campus and within the region. You will work alongside professionals to support our mission of saving lives through blood donations. This is a paid internship designed for students interested in gaining practical experience in a non-profit health care setting.
What you'll do#
- Promote the importance of blood donations on campus.
- Engage with the community to discuss the value of blood donation.
- Recruit donors for upcoming blood drives.
- Learn about the end-to-end blood banking process, from donor recruitment to the delivery of blood products.
- Gain hands-on experience in marketing, public relations, and public health.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a student, ideally in Public Health, Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration.
- A friendly and outgoing personality.
- Comfort speaking to and interacting with the public.
- Strong communication skills.
- An interest in developing your business skills.
- The ability to demonstrate good character.
- Completion of a required pre-employment drug screen and background check.
