About the role#
The Strength & Conditioning Intern supports the Athletic Performance Department in developing the physical qualities of student-athletes. You will work alongside experienced coaches in a high-performance environment, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of sports, ages, and skill levels. This role involves assisting with daily training sessions, from one-on-one instruction to large-group camp settings.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the delivery of strength, power, speed, agility, and movement sessions.
- Facilitate pre-gen and regeneration work for athletes.
- Provide coaching cues and technique feedback to ensure safe and effective movement.
- Set up, maintain, and organize the weight room and various training spaces.
- Observe and assist with program design, periodization, and athlete monitoring.
- Support data collection and testing procedures.
- Shadow collaboration between Sports Medicine, Sport Science, Nutrition, and Mental Conditioning staff.
- Participate in staff education, professional development, and mentorship opportunities.
- Maintain a safe training environment and follow all company policies.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor’s degree (or current enrollment) in kinesiology, exercise science, physical education, or a related field.
- A high-energy, positive coaching presence and the ability to connect with middle and high school athletes.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment, remain active for extended periods, and work in outdoor conditions.
- Prior experience coaching, training, or assisting in a weight room.
- CPR/AED certification.
- CSCS, CSCC, or another recognized strength and conditioning certification.
- Experience with athlete management or performance technology.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
- Requirements: Candidates must pass a background check and drug test. This position requires a Florida Level 2 Background Screening.
