About the role#
IMEG is hiring a Structural Engineering Intern for a 10-12 week program during Summer 2027. You will work alongside experienced engineers and consultants on real project work, focusing on the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of structural systems. This is a paid, full-time position based in our Las Vegas office. You will contribute to projects across commercial and institutional markets, including public-sector, education, hospitality, and airport-related work.
What you'll do#
- Assist with structural design tasks based on code requirements and internal standards.
- Research project resources and maintain the project design notebook.
- Support client relations and document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions.
- Coordinate design and schedules with other disciplines, such as electrical, mechanical, and architectural teams.
- Monitor project progress and review documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide documentation for permanent record files and assist with addendum information.
- Conduct periodic job site observations.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 2 years toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- A strong interest in design consulting.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Skills in AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
- Clear oral and written communication skills.
- Prior internship experience in building design consulting is preferred.

- Compensation: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour.
