    About the role#

    As a Reliability Engineering Co-Op, you will gain hands-on experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment. You will work closely with the production and maintenance teams to optimize equipment reliability, standardize documentation, and support the integration of asset management systems.

    What you'll do#

    • Complete Preventive Maintenance (PM) optimizations and develop new PM strategies.
    • Collaborate with production and maintenance departments to develop asset strategies, job plans, and spare parts lists.
    • Standardize spare parts lists by reviewing technical documentation, performing physical line walkdowns, and coordinating with vendors.
    • Assist the Reliability Engineer with data collection and evidence gathering for Root Cause Analysis investigations.
    • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Work Instructions (SWIs).
    • Support the maintenance team by providing training and troubleshooting assistance for the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and the internal Document Navigation Accelerator (DNA) system.
    • Coordinate safety-related work orders and assist in the creation of reliability reports and dashboards.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering program.
    • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical components, including conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and bearings.
    • Ability to interpret blueprints, measure components, and create hand sketches.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Look-ups and Pivot Tables) and Word.
    • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills with the ability to work autonomously.
    • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
    • Willingness to work in a production environment that may be dusty, loud, or dirty.
    • Previous knowledge of a CMMS is considered an asset.
