This is a full-time, paid internship based in Chester, SC. You will support the administrative and operational teams by balancing responsibilities across Human Resources and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) functions. This role involves direct collaboration with plant leadership and the HSE Specialist to drive safety initiatives and improve documentation processes.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the HSE Specialist and plant team leaders to advance the Life Critical Program (LCP).
- Assist the HR coordinator with recruitment, employee relations, and various special projects.
- Organize, plan, and manage the project steps for the LCP, including writing Safety Work Instructions (SWIs).
- Collect and analyze data from the production floor for documentation and communication purposes.
- Review, develop, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Document safety concerns by taking photos, performing data entry, and working with department members.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a Junior or Senior specializing in Human Resources, Business Administration, or an equivalent Occupational Health and Safety program.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, as well as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Strong critical thinking skills and a high degree of organization.
- Experience in health, safety, or environmental fields is considered a plus.
- Troubleshooting capability is considered a plus.

- Compensation: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour.
