Corporate Mechanical Engineering Co-Op

About the role#

IKO North America is seeking a Corporate Mechanical Engineering Co-op for the Fall 2026 term. This position is based in Brampton, ON, and requires a minimum commitment of 12 months beginning in September. You will work alongside the design team to gain practical experience in large-scale assembly design, plant layout, and mechanical design platforms.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with designers and engineers to prepare engineering documents, design drawing packages, and design manuals.
• Participate in mechanical equipment design, plant layout, P&ID, and piping design using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Plant 3D.
• Maintain and publish 3D Naviswork models for new and existing projects.
• Assist in the development of engineering department instructions for design software and hardware.
• Manage general administrative tasks, including the organization of documents and files.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering program at a college or university.
• Experience with 2D drafting and 3D modeling software, such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.
• Strong attention to detail when preparing drawings and documentation.
• Proficiency in GD&T and experience with VB programming are considered assets.
