Operations Engineering Intern / Co-Op

About the role#

This is a full-time, paid Operations Engineering Intern/Co-Op position based in Chester, South Carolina. This role involves working directly with the plant operations team to support the development and organization of critical operational documentation.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with the Operation Structure steering team to support the development of the operational framework.
• Assist in creating and refining technical materials, including asset hierarchy lists, document navigation accelerators, inventory lists, spare parts lists, job plans, and preventive maintenance documentation.
• Create detailed Safe Work Instructions (SWIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Develop equipment-specific Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) documents under the guidance of plant leadership.

What you'll need#

• Currently a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including the ability to analyze spreadsheet data using tools like pivot tables, look-up tables, and charts.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
• A self-starter mindset and an eagerness to work.
• Troubleshooting capability is considered an asset.

• Compensation: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour.
