This is a full-time, paid Engineering Internship for the Fall 2026 term based at our manufacturing facility in Jacksonville, Florida. You will work directly with the Plant Maintenance team and Environmental Health and Safety professionals to gain hands-on experience in industrial operations. This role requires being local to the area, as relocation assistance is not provided.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Plant Maintenance team to drive progress on reliability initiatives.
- Review and update safety programs, policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and Standard Work Instructions (SWI).
- Perform spare parts optimization to support preventative and predictive maintenance tasks for critical assets.
- Collect and analyze data from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to identify equipment failure modes.
- Complete the DNA project by linking equipment drawings to the CMMS.
- Work with millwrights to establish best practices and standardize maintenance templates.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior or Senior status in an Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent Engineering program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings; AutoCAD proficiency is a plus.
- Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to stand and walk frequently, work at heights occasionally, and lift up to 30 lbs unassisted.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
