About the role#
As an intern, you will contribute to projects within the Enterprise Platform-as-a-Service team. You will work across client-server architectures, networking, and databases to design and deploy IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions. You will collaborate with designers and developers to build responsive applications and help maintain large-scale systems that support continuous delivery for cloud and on-premises environments.
What you'll do#
- Create clean, well-documented, and intuitive APIs.
- Design and develop scalable server applications, firmware, and databases.
- Participate in Agile development cycles, including design, coding, testing, and support.
- Transform wireframes into functional user experiences.
- Apply software engineering and testing best practices.
- Use AI-powered tools to improve development efficiency.
- Integrate AI capabilities to make platform solutions easier to deploy and scale.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, Systems Engineering, Data Sciences, or a related field.
- Prior project or internship experience in software development or platform engineering.
- Working knowledge of servers, applications, databases, and DevOps tools such as Git and Jenkins.
- Experience with cloud development, including pushing code through a CD pipeline.
- Familiarity with Generative AI practical application, including prompt engineering.
- Knowledge of one or more programming languages: C++, C, Java, Golang, Ruby, Python, Perl, or SQL.
- Experience with virtualization concepts and cloud operations.
- Working knowledge of major databases like MongoDB, MySQL, or Postgres.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
