About the role#
As an Intern Finance Specialist in SAP Application Operations, you will join the IBM Consulting FutureNow Center. You will work with experienced professionals to solve business and technology challenges. This role focuses on maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing SAP enterprise systems. You will gain hands-on experience in managed services, system maintenance, and operational excellence. This internship is designed to build your technical and professional skills for a potential career in enterprise consulting.
What you'll do#
- Support initiatives that improve system performance, service delivery, and operational efficiency.
- Assist with analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and supporting SAP maintenance, enhancements, and testing.
- Contribute to incident management, solution validation, and business process improvement.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and develop recommendations for client outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business and technology teams.
- Participate in project meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Interest in SAP, enterprise applications, ERP platforms, and business transformation.
- Basic understanding of how enterprise applications support supply chain, finance, procurement, and human resources.
- Exposure to data analysis, reporting, process improvement, or business problem-solving through coursework, projects, or student organizations.
- Awareness of emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence and automation.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, ITIL frameworks, or business analytics.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates.
