About the role#
This summer internship offers hands-on experience within the information technology department at Hylant. You will work directly with IT teams on projects involving infrastructure, cybersecurity, and software development. The program provides mentorship from company leaders and exposure to the insurance industry.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support to internal users by troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of workstations, devices, and network connections.
- Monitor systems for security threats and support incident response efforts.
- Test and document software applications or updates.
- Perform data entry, system audits, and inventory tracking.
- Collaborate with IT teams on infrastructure and development projects.
- Work under the guidance of Hylant leaders throughout the summer.
What you'll need#
- Rising junior, senior, or graduate-level standing at an accredited college or university, or graduation within the past seven months.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Interest in a long-term career within the insurance industry.
- Extracurricular involvement or part-time work experience is recommended.
- Ability to work on-site at one of the designated office locations.
- Authorization to work for any U.S. employer. Please note that Hylant does not provide H-1B visa sponsorship.

- Locations: Toledo, Ohio; Fort Wayne, Indiana; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Ann Arbor, Michigan.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
