Summer Student, Mental Health

About the role#

Humber River Health is seeking a Summer Student to provide administrative and operational support to the Mental Health & Addiction Program. This is a temporary, full-time position based at the Hennick Humber Hospital Wilson site. The role involves day shifts from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of occasional evening or weekend work.

What you'll do#

• Provide administrative support and backfill coverage for Program Assistants.
• Assist with meeting coordination, minute-taking, and calendar management during vacancies or staff vacations.
• Handle front desk assignments and general administrative tasks for the leadership team.
• Report any operational problems or concerns directly to the Program Directors.
• Complete special projects as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a post-secondary program, such as Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, or Sociology.
• Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, along with excellent customer service abilities.
• Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in health practices is considered an asset.
