About the role#
Join Humana for a 12-week summer internship program focused on technology and digital innovation in the healthcare industry. You will work within a technical team alongside experienced leaders to contribute to real-world projects that impact the health and well-being of millions. This program provides hands-on experience, direct mentorship, and exposure to professional development sessions and executive-level presentations.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with technologists on initiatives including software and cloud engineering, data science, cybersecurity, user experience, and machine learning.
- Apply your technical skills to solve business challenges aligned with company objectives.
- Participate in intern-led committees, engagement activities, and professional workshops.
- Gain exposure to various technical domains, such as data analytics, AI applications, and enterprise information protection.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
- Attendance at the Society of Women Engineers Conference in Boston, MA, on November 5-7, 2026.
- Successful completion of the CodeVue technical assessment.
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, on-site for the full 12-week duration.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Experience with technical tools and frameworks such as Java, Python, SQL, C++, C#, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, cloud technologies, and Agile methodologies.
- No visa sponsorship required now or in the future.
