Early Career Summer 2024 Benefits Analyst Intern

About the role#

As a Benefits Analyst Intern with the National Accounts Team, you will gain insight into the group benefits industry while working alongside consultants and analysts. You will support the team by analyzing data, responding to client inquiries, and contributing to strategic support for complex client needs.

What you'll do#

• Provide day-to-day problem-solving support for clients regarding their group benefits programs.
• Draft formal letters and reports to support client communication.
• Perform data entry to assist with quarterly and annual financial analysis.
• Conduct renewal analysis and negotiate fees and rates with carriers.
• Review insurance contracts and financial statements.
• Support lead consultants in managing projects and conducting research.
• Actively manage assigned accounts and represent the firm in client interactions.

What you'll need#

• A post-secondary degree in Commerce, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, or Human Resources.
• 1-2 years of professional experience in an analyst or corporate setting.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Completion of courses related to Group Benefits or an LLQP certification is considered an asset.
