The House of Commons hires students throughout the year for diverse opportunities across various service areas. This program offers hands-on experience, allowing students to apply their academic knowledge to projects within a parliamentary environment.
What you'll do#
Students contribute to meaningful projects and participate in professional activities across a wide range of fields, including:
- Provide administrative support and client service.
- Assist in accounting, commerce, procurement, contracting, and policy development.
- Support communications, linguistics, and graphic or web design.
- Engage in trades, culinary arts, and technical fields such as computer science and data science.
What you'll need#
- Current enrolment as a full-time student at an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Fluency in both English and French.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid study permit.
- Ability to provide proof of enrolment during the hiring process.
