About the role#
The House of Commons hires students throughout the year for diverse opportunities across various service areas. This program allows students to gain hands-on experience by applying classroom knowledge to real-world projects within a major political institution.
What you'll do#
Students contribute to meaningful projects and participate in professional activities. Responsibilities vary by department and may include:
- Providing administrative support and client service.
- Assisting in accounting, commerce, procurement, contracting, and policy development.
- Supporting communications, linguistics, and graphic or web design.
- Engaging in trades, culinary arts, and other related technical fields.
- Contributing to projects in computer science and data science.
What you'll need#
- Current enrolment as a full-time student at an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Fluency in both English and French.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid study permit.
- Ability to provide proof of enrolment during the hiring process.
