The House of Commons of Canada offers full-time cooperative education placements for students across various administrative and technical sectors. These positions provide practical experience in a professional environment, with placements generally lasting 16 weeks.
What you'll do#
Students contribute to the operations of the House of Commons by supporting diverse departments. Responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support and customer service.
- Participating in procurement and contract-related projects.
- Contributing to communications, linguistics, and graphic or web design tasks.
- Working on technical projects in areas such as computer science, data science, and cybersecurity.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Active enrollment in a recognized cooperative education program.
- Proficiency in both official languages (French and English) is considered an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: Ottawa, Ontario.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time (35 hours per week).
- Terms available: Fall 2026, Winter 2027, and Summer 2027.
