About the role#
This Summer Associate position sits within the Real Estate, Lodging & Leisure Investment Banking Group in New York. You will work on active engagements, business development, and growth initiatives. This role provides exposure to various financial advisory and investment banking products across the real estate sector. You will be given substantial responsibility and are encouraged to contribute ideas to help grow the business.
What you'll do#
- Prepare, analyze, and explain historical and projected financial information.
- Coordinate and perform business due diligence.
- Execute M&A and capital raising transactions.
- Create confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and marketing pitches.
- Value real estate companies, businesses, and assets.
- Assist in the marketing and planning of engagements.
- Build and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisors.
What you'll need#
- An undergraduate degree with an exemplary academic record.
- An MBA degree from a top accredited institution with a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Direct experience executing transactions and interpreting or structuring legal agreements.
- Advanced abilities in accounting, finance, financial modeling, and analysis.
- A nuanced understanding of real estate valuation theory, methodologies, and applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills, a high capacity for multitasking, and a resourceful approach to problem solving.
