About the role#
HITT Contracting Inc. offers a 10-week summer internship for students interested in construction management. This program provides hands-on experience through mentorship and professional development. Interns work alongside project managers and superintendents to support real project delivery.
What you'll do#
- Support project delivery by working with project managers and superintendents.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, track materials, and manage project files.
- Handle document control processes, including submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Help prepare bid packages and evaluate subcontractor bids.
- Review construction drawings and verify site conditions.
- Assist with jobsite tasks, trade coordination, and safety and quality control efforts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Architecture.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the 10-week duration.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to learn project-specific software systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
