About the role#
As an Electrical and Controls Engineering Intern, you will contribute to the analysis, documentation, and improvement of industrial electrical and control systems. You will work alongside experienced professionals on projects that impact equipment reliability and manufacturing efficiency. This role offers hands-on experience in industrial electrical engineering, automation, and continuous improvement.
What you'll do#
- Develop and update industrial electrical network schematics.
- Perform detailed surveys and assessments of control panels and electrical equipment.
- Identify and document electrical and control components within industrial installations.
- Update and maintain electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with Electrical and Automation Engineers to ensure the accuracy of technical documentation.
- Participate in troubleshooting and solving issues related to electrical and control systems.
- Contribute to the improvement and optimization of industrial equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Work closely with maintenance, production, and engineering teams on continuous improvement projects.
- Manage priorities in an environment with changing deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's program for Electrical Engineering or Automated Production Engineering.
- Strong interest in industrial electrical systems, automation, and control technologies.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving and prioritization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of PLC programming and HMI software.
- Initiative, leadership, and a proactive approach to improvement projects.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Autonomous, detail-oriented, and professional work habits.
- Proficiency in French and English.
