About the role#
This is a full-time, 16-month internship based in Toronto. You will join the Hardware Test Engineering team to support the development and maintenance of simulators and automated test equipment. This role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring flexibility to work onsite as needed. You will be paid for your work and will have access to company social events and a mentorship program.
What you'll do#
- Support the documentation of simulator and automated hardware test equipment designs.
- Maintain, assemble, and troubleshoot test equipment and simulators.
- Manage the approval and release process for documentation within a PLM system.
- Coordinate with Component Engineering to request part numbers for new components.
- Assist in the upgrade and modification of existing test systems.
- Validate and debug simulators using LabView and TestStand.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Engineering Science, or Engineering Physics degree program.
- Completion of at least three years of your undergraduate degree.
- At least one semester of coursework remaining after the internship ends.
- Previous co-op or internship experience.
- Familiarity with CAD software, schematic design, and mechanical component specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- High attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week.
