    About the role#

    This is an unpaid internship through the Hire Vets Now (HVN) SkillBridge Program, specifically designed for transitioning active-duty US military personnel. The program provides an opportunity to gain industry experience during the final 180 days of active-duty service. Interns work on meaningful projects while collaborating with mentors and senior leadership.

    What you'll do#

    • Install complex piping systems on ships and in the shop.
    • Interpret blueprints and fabricate piping components.
    • Inspect and test various piping systems onboard vessels.
    • Complete a Fundamentals of Piping Fitting class during the initial weeks of the program.
    • Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical knowledge.

    What you'll need#

    • Must be active-duty military within the final 180 days of service; transitioning military candidates may apply within the final 12 months of service.
    • Education and experience requirements are dependent on the specific Program of Instruction.
    • U.S. citizenship is required.
