Reservations Intern

About the role#

As a Reservations Intern, you will gain experience in a detail-oriented hospitality environment. You will develop professional skills in analytical thinking, problem-solving, sales techniques, and communication. This role includes professional development sessions, networking opportunities with sales and groups teams, and the chance to assist in the development of training materials and team engagement activities.

What you'll do#

• Provide information to guests regarding resort availability, rates, package plans, events, promotions, and attractions.
• Use analytical thinking to resolve guest requests and provide alternatives.
• Build rapport with guests over the phone to enhance their experience.
• Develop sales techniques focused on revenue maximization.
• Complete daily reports and assist in quality assurance reviews to maintain high service standards.
• Develop technical proficiency in reservation systems and Google Workspace.

What you'll need#

• Must be at least 18 years of age and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current enrollment in an undergraduate program or status as a Spring 2026 college graduate.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• Ability to pass a typing test with a minimum speed of 32 words per minute.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning skills.
• Professional demeanor and a willingness to learn.

Location & details#

• This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
• The role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring an average of one day per week in the office in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 32 hours per week, including a flexible schedule of weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Remote work must be completed within the state of Pennsylvania in a quiet environment with high-speed internet access.
• Housing is available through a partner at Campus Heights, Penn State Harrisburg, at a cost of $160 per week via payroll deduction.
