Hersheypark Entertainment Complex Culinary Intern (Summer 2026)

About the role#

As a Culinary Intern at the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex, you will support kitchen operations across the Giant Center and the broader entertainment complex. This role involves a mix of operational support, inventory management, and event coordination, providing hands-on experience in a high-volume hospitality environment.

What you'll do#

• Assist in developing and maintaining dining plans, kitchen guidelines, food safety procedures, and food presentation standards.
• Manage kitchen and catering event orders, ensuring all food items, audiovisual requirements, and staffing needs are documented.
• Coordinate staffing requirements and act as a liaison to ensure scheduling needs are met.
• Oversee the ordering, receiving, and proper storage of food items and supplies.
• Manage inventory by rotating stock, performing counts, and adhering to standard par levels.
• Enter and modify standardized recipe forms and assist with the delivery of supplies.

What you'll need#

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Currently enrolled in a Culinary or Pastry program.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with the ability to quickly learn new computer-based applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Innovative mindset and self-motivation to complete tasks.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a professional demeanor.

Location & details#

• Location: Hershey, Pennsylvania.
• Term: Summer 2026 (May – August).
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Must be available for flexible shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Hours typically range up to 35 hours per week, with potential for up to 50 hours during peak periods.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for the majority of shifts, walk, and lift at least 25 pounds unassisted (50 pounds with assistance). Regular outdoor work in various weather conditions is required.
• Housing: Company-coordinated housing is available for a weekly fee of $160, which includes utilities and limited transportation.
