Hersheypark Leadership Development Internship

About the role#

The Hersheypark Leadership Development Internship provides an opportunity to work as a Team Member at Hersheypark while participating in weekly professional development sessions. This program partners with various departments across Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, offering the potential for college or university internship credit. As of March 10, 2026, hiring is exclusively focused on the Lifeguard Department. Interns are placed into operational roles based on work experience and organizational needs.

What you'll do#

• Perform daily operational duties as a Hersheypark Team Member.
• Participate in weekly professional development sessions, which are paid classroom hours.
• Work an average of 40 hours per week, with schedules typically consisting of Thursday through Monday or Friday through Tuesday.
• Adapt to indoor or outdoor environments and various weather conditions, with physical requirements including standing, walking, sitting, and communicating with guests and staff.

What you'll need#

• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
• Open to undergraduate students and upcoming graduates of all majors, including Business Administration, Communications, Criminal Justice, Marketing, and Public Health.
• Ability to communicate professionally and maintain company appearance standards.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment drug testing or post-employment RAMP certification if required by the assigned position.

Location & details#

• Location: Hershey, Pennsylvania.
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Modality: On-site.
• Housing: Company-coordinated housing is available for a weekly fee of $160, which includes utilities and limited transportation. Housing is mandatory for students residing more than 50 miles from the park.
• Schedule: Interns using company housing must be available from May 16 to August 8. Those not using company housing are encouraged to work from early May through Labor Day weekend.
