This internship focuses on the development, facilitation, and evaluation of Food & Beverage training programs for part-time, seasonal, and supplemental staff within the Entertainment Complex. You will play a key role in ensuring staff are prepared to deliver high-quality guest experiences through effective orientation and ongoing training initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Facilitate assigned developmental training sessions throughout the Entertainment Complex.
- Assist in the assessment and creation of training materials and resources for the Food & Beverage department.
- Track employee feedback to refine orientation and training programs.
- Audit employees and supervisors during operations to ensure compliance with food safety, sanitization, guest service standards, child labor laws, and alcohol service procedures.
- Provide recommendations for continuous training improvements to the Manager of Training and Quality Assurance.
- Coordinate the tracking process for required departmental training certifications.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student status.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass RAMPs alcohol service and ServSafe food safety training (provided by the company).
- Strong proficiency in Windows-based programs and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms).
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in Food & Beverage, Hospitality, or Travel/Tourism.
- Preferred: Majors in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Food Science, Dietetics/Nutrition, Human Resources, or Education.
- Preferred: Experience with Canva, electronic tablets, video/photography editing, and training program development.
Location & details#
- Location: Hershey, Pennsylvania.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Schedule: Must be available for a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Requires 20-40 hours per week, at least 5 days per week.
- Physical requirements: Ability to stand for up to 8 hours, walk over 1 mile per day, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Environment: Work takes place in both indoor and outdoor settings subject to various weather conditions.
- Housing: Company-coordinated housing is available for a weekly fee of $160, plus a one-time $180 fee (includes a refundable $160 deposit and $20 insurance waiver).
