Employee Support Intern

About the role#

The Employee Support Intern will gain hands-on experience in employee engagement and staffing operations at the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex. This role focuses on supporting the administrative needs of various departments, including Attractions, Food & Beverage, and Guest Experience, by managing team member inquiries, attendance records, and scheduling for over 3,500 seasonal staff.

What you'll do#

• Provide leadership, training, and supervision to team members.
• Manage a high volume of incoming and outgoing phone calls.
• Respond to inquiries regarding events, schedules, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with the scheduling process, including handling requests and modifications.
• Counsel team members on attendance records and apply disciplinary procedures.
• Coordinate supplemental staffing programs and update timekeeping records.

What you'll need#

• Must be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
• Current undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior majoring in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, specifically Excel and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate self-motivation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to speak to large groups and maintain a professional image.

Location & details#

• Location: Hershey, Pennsylvania.
• Term: Summer 2026 (April/May through August).
• Modality: On-site, full-time (minimum 32 hours per week).
• Availability: Must have open availability for shifts ranging from 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM.
• Physical requirements: Ability to stand for up to 5 hours, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 pounds. Work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings with exposure to various weather conditions.
• Compensation: Paid internship.
