About the role#
This position sits at the intersection of engineering design, manufacturing, integration, and test for flight vehicles. You will work directly with design and production teams. Your responsibilities span hardware design, tooling, testing, flight readiness, process development, and vehicle assembly.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the design, build, and test of flight and test hardware for the Mk 2.3 airframe.
- Translate high-level structural design concepts into detailed CAD models, including geometry refinement, material selection, and design-for-manufacturing considerations.
- Support the transition of structural components and assemblies from prototype builds to repeatable production.
- Develop build processes, tooling concepts, and integration plans for structural hardware.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams to support vehicle integration and program milestones.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a STEM program at an accredited college or university, specifically as a third or fourth-year undergraduate or a graduate student.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing vehicles through internships, studies, or projects.
- Comfort using CAD, test equipment, and hand tools.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes like machining, welding, and forming, along with GD&T fundamentals.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
