About the role#
The Manufacturing Team at Hermeus is responsible for building aircraft. We handle everything from welding and machining to avionics and integration. As an intern, you will work directly with our engineers and technicians to provide design feedback and support our rapid prototyping efforts.
What you'll do#
- Support manufacturing and process improvement projects focused on safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
- Partner with engineers and technicians to support hardware build, integration, and production activities.
- Assist with root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and resolution of manufacturing issues.
- Help evaluate designs for manufacturability, testability, and production readiness.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, test procedures, BOMs, and standard operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a STEM program at an accredited college or university.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, testing, or manufacturing hardware.
- A strong understanding of engineering first principles.
- Familiarity with manufacturing, assembly, testing, CAD, technical drawings, or GD&T.

- Modality: On-site.
- Terms: Winter 2027 (January to April) and Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
- Note: This position requires U.S. person status for export control compliance.
