    About the role#

    Henkel is hiring an R&D Product Development Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Trumbull, Connecticut. The internship runs from May 24th to August 13th.

    What you'll do#

    • Create product formulations in a lab setting for brands like Persil, all, Purex, and Snuggle.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams, including analytical, packaging, and process development, throughout the product development cycle.
    • Research novel chemistries to improve the performance and benefits of detergent formulations.
    • Design and conduct experiments to develop or refine laundry products.
    • Prepare batches for internal testing and customer evaluations.
    • Present research findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    What you'll need#

    • Current undergraduate student graduating in 2027, 2028, or 2029.
    • Pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Material Science.
    • Previous lab experience gained through coursework, academic research, or internships.
    • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

    • Location: Trumbull, Connecticut.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (May 24th to August 13th).
    • Salary: $22 to $27 per hour.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Benefits: Eligible for a housing stipend or relocation support.
