As a Children's Room Specialist Intern, you will support the Children and Youth Services Program at the Brooklyn Family Justice Center. This role involves working directly with children aged 2 and older who are receiving support services. You will contribute to community outreach efforts and assist in connecting children with necessary resources and services.
What you'll do#
- Facilitate early childhood and school-aged activities.
- Lead STEM projects and arts and crafts sessions.
- Provide computer literacy assistance.
- Offer homework help and educational support.
- Support the development of life skills for program participants.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma (an associate's degree is preferred but not required).
- A genuine interest in working with children.
- A creative, responsible, patient, kind, and caring demeanor.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A valid US driver’s license is preferred.
- Relevant academic background in Psychology, Sociology, Human Resources, Public Health, Nursing, or Kinesiology.
