About the role#
Heidelberg Materials is hiring for a Quality Control Co-Op position in Ottawa. This is a paid, full-time role for students enrolled in internship or co-op programs. The placement runs from May 2027 through December 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine laboratory testing and document results.
- Support concrete plant batch testing and quality control activities.
- Collect, prepare, and test material samples following established procedures.
- Maintain organized testing records and provide administrative support.
- Work with the Quality Control team on daily operations and Ottawa area projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a civil engineering or construction materials program.
- Ability to follow safety requirements, testing procedures, and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
- Effective communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- A valid Ontario G driver's license.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Ottawa, Ontario.
- Work is on-site in a mix of laboratory, concrete plant, office, and project-site environments.
- You may work outdoors in varying weather conditions and around industrial operations.
- Occasional work outside normal business hours, including early mornings, overnight shifts, and weekends, may be required.
- Personal protective equipment and safety training are provided.
