About the role#
As an Operations Management Intern, you will work on-site at our facility in Richmond, Texas. This is a paid, full-time, rolling internship where you will gain hands-on experience in the building materials industry. You will rotate through various departments to understand how our plant functions and how our business operates.
What you'll do#
- Partner with managers, engineers, and production staff to help the plant meet its daily production goals.
- Complete technical and operational projects that provide insight into our business functions.
- Collect and analyze production data to support ongoing improvement efforts.
- Ensure all work meets health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Spend time across departments like Sales, Maintenance, Quality Control, and Logistics.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management.
- You have strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- You are comfortable working in a plant environment that includes exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions.
- You can lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for long periods, and climb stairs.
- You are willing to perform manual labor tasks as required.
