About the role#
Heidelberg Materials is hiring a Mining Engineer Intern for a paid, full-time position. This role is based on-site in Coeymans, New York, and follows a rolling term. You will work with construction managers to support daily project operations.
What you'll do#
- Support project planning and daily coordination tasks.
- Monitor project progress to keep work on track with budgets and timelines.
- Prepare and review reports, schedules, and various project documents.
- Work with team members to find solutions for project challenges.
- Visit sites to observe construction activities and confirm safety standards are met.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A problem-solving mindset and the ability to learn new concepts quickly.
- An interest in gaining practical experience in construction management.
Location & details#
- Location: Coeymans, NY.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $23.00 to $29.00 per hour.
- Conditions: Candidates must pass a post-offer physical exam, drug and alcohol screen, and background check. The work environment includes exposure to moving equipment, varying weather conditions, and elevated noise levels.
