About the role#
We are looking for an Environmental Intern to support our Aggregates and Ready-Mix operations in Western PA. You will report to the Environmental Manager and work alongside environmental and operational professionals. This role offers hands-on experience with regulatory compliance, sustainability initiatives, and environmental stewardship.
What you'll do#
- Assist with environmental compliance activities, inspections, audits, and documentation.
- Support environmental data collection, analysis, and recordkeeping for permits and sustainability initiatives.
- Work with operations teams to find opportunities for environmental improvements and best practices.
- Join site visits and field assessments to monitor environmental performance and support corrective actions.
- Contribute to projects focused on resource conservation, reclamation, emissions reduction, and operational efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Natural Resources, Geology, or a related field.
- Interest in environmental compliance and industrial or construction materials operations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work with employees at all levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn data management and reporting systems.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- This is a full-time, paid, rolling internship.
- The work involves a mix of office and outdoor environments, including frequent visits to quarries and production facilities where you must follow safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment.
