About the role#
Vernon Hills Animal Hospital offers an externship program for students through Heartland Veterinary Partners. This role provides hands-on support for veterinary technician students. The length and requirements of the externship depend on your specific university program.
What you'll do#
You will participate in the Heartland Veterinary Partners' Vet Tech Externship Program. Your daily work includes assisting with general medicine, surgery, and dentistry. You will also help with wellness care, vaccinations, geriatric medicine, and laboratory services. Because this practice treats many species, you may assist with exotic animal medicine as well.
What you'll need#
You must be currently enrolled in an accredited Veterinary Technician School.

This position is located in Mundelein, Illinois. It is an on-site, paid, full-time role with rolling start dates.
