HealthCorps is seeking a creative and proactive Marketing & Communications Intern to support regional efforts in promoting health and wellness programs. This role involves capturing stories, managing digital content, and engaging with community members to elevate the organization's mission. You will work closely with regional staff and mentors to build professional experience in nonprofit storytelling, public health outreach, and brand management.
What you'll do#
- Support content collection and storytelling projects for digital communications, newsletters, and social media.
- Create and publish content for regional social media channels, including Instagram and TikTok.
- Visit local school sites to capture stories and document program impact.
- Assist with the development of communications materials for students, families, and community stakeholders.
- Design and update marketing collateral such as flyers, posters, and event signage.
- Support the promotion and execution of regional events through digital outreach and storytelling.
- Track engagement analytics and assist with reporting on marketing performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Communications, Marketing, Public Health, or a related field.
- Applied understanding of basic marketing principles.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic photography, image, and video editing skills.
- Graphic design skills.
- Ability to travel to assigned sites within the Greater Philadelphia and Wilmington areas.
Location & details#
- Locations: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Wilmington, Delaware.
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Commitment: 8+ hours per week during the 2026–2027 academic year.
- Compensation: This is a paid position (stipend provided) with the possibility of college credit.
