About the role#
As a Mentor and Alumni Intern, you will support the digital, operational, and community-building efforts that enhance the experience of our nationwide network of mentors and alumni. This role offers hands-on experience in youth development, public health, and nonprofit programming. You will work directly with the Mentor and Alumni Program Manager to strengthen mentor engagement, capture impact stories, and support the growth of the alumni community.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and improvement of digital resources, training materials, and onboarding guides.
- Maintain and organize content within the Learning Management System, including updating modules and tracking user progress.
- Assist with the development of the HealthCorps Alumni Connect LinkedIn Group by facilitating discussions and sharing resources.
- Collect and compile feedback from mentors and alumni to inform program improvements.
- Support recognition efforts, including the creation of newsletters, digital spotlights, and awards.
- Collaborate with regional managers and mentors nationwide to gather impact stories and support program goals.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student in public health, psychology, marketing, nutrition, biology, public policy, education, or social work.
- Good academic standing with your university.
- Strong desire to grow personally and professionally as a leader.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Commitment of 6 to 8 hours per week.
Location & details#
- This is a fully remote position based in the United States.
- The internship is paid via a monthly stipend.
- This is a full-time equivalent internship role with rolling term availability.
- College credit or practicum hours may be available depending on university guidelines.
