About the role#
As a Process Intern in the Energy group, you will work from our Houston office to support our oil and gas projects. You will work alongside senior engineers and designers to contribute to technical solutions across the project lifecycle. This is an on-site, full-time role that offers the chance to apply your academic studies to real-world engineering challenges.
What you'll do#
- Identify production bottlenecks, create action plans, and assess the results.
- Assist engineers with designs, research, and technical calculations.
- Provide support for production, maintenance, environmental, and quality tasks.
- Document process or system problems.
- Assist with the preparation of detailed project designs and drawings based on specifications.
- Coordinate with other technicians and engineers on project tasks.
- Provide general support to senior staff as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in chemical or process engineering.
- A minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Strong report writing, planning, and organizational skills.
- A willingness to travel to various Hatch offices, project sites, and supplier locations.
- Previous co-op or internship experience is an asset.
