About the role#
As an IT Service Desk Technician Intern, you will work within our Shared Services group to provide technical support to employees. You will operate the help desk, offer support over the phone, and manage hardware and software needs for desktop PCs. This role is based in our Pittsburgh office and requires in-person collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Provide IT support to employees, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Rebuild and reconfigure desktop PCs.
- Support users with the MS Office Suite.
- Assist with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings based on specifications.
- Coordinate with technicians and engineers on various projects.
- Provide direct support to senior engineers and designers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate degree program for computer technology, information technology, computer science, or a relevant field.
- A minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair PC issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems.
- Experience in computer support, administration, or customer service is a plus.
- A+ or Microsoft certifications are beneficial.
- Ability to adapt to change and work well in a team.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- The role is on-site, with an expectation of in-office presence to facilitate collaboration.
