About the role#
The Harper College Educational Foundation is seeking a Federal Work Study student aide to support nonprofit operations. This role is ideal for students interested in data management, event coordination, accounting, or technology who are looking to gain professional office experience.
What you'll do#
- Provide general administrative support to Foundation staff.
- Assist with data entry and maintain accurate records and databases.
- Support Foundation events through preparation, set-up, registration, and follow-up activities.
- Deliver courteous customer service to donors, students, staff, and community members.
- Complete special projects related to nonprofit operations, including light accounting work, event management, and fundraising.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise high attention to detail in all tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at Harper College with at least 6 credits per semester.
- Eligibility for Federal Work Study.
- Availability to work during office hours, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Strong customer service and basic technology skills.
- Ability to maintain a professional mindset and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Prior office experience is preferred, though training will be provided.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Communications, Sociology, and Psychology.
