Psychotherapist Intern Outpatient Clinic

About the role#

Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinic. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including adults, adolescents, and children aged five and older. You will work as an independent contractor with the flexibility to determine your own working hours and the option to work up to 50% via telemedicine.

What you'll do#

• Conduct psychological assessments, provide diagnoses, and deliver therapeutic interventions for a variety of mental health conditions.
• Utilize various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services in compliance with company policies.
• Stay current with advancements in the field through continuing education.

What you'll need#

• A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
• An active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.
• Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.

Location & details#

• Location: Port Charlotte, Florida.
• Modality: On-site and remote options available.
• Schedule: Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth appointments, with additional availability for telemedicine Friday through Sunday.
• Compensation: $35 - $40 per billable hour.
• Employment Type: Full-time independent contractor role.
