Psychotherapist Intern Outpatient Clinic– CSW / MHC / MFT/ Independent Contractor

About the role#

Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient mental health clinic in Gainesville, Florida. This position is open to individuals with a master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy who hold or are in the process of obtaining an active Florida Intern license. This is a paid, full-time independent contractor role offering a hybrid work environment.

What you'll do#

• Perform psychological assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions for patients with diverse mental health conditions.
• Deliver various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
• Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.

What you'll need#

• A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
• An active Florida Intern license or to be in the process of obtaining one.
• Preferred experience working in an outpatient clinical setting.
