About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient mental health clinic in Gainesville, Florida. This position is open to individuals with a master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy who hold or are in the process of obtaining an active Florida Intern license. This is a paid, full-time independent contractor role offering a hybrid work environment.
What you'll do#
- Perform psychological assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions for patients with diverse mental health conditions.
- Deliver various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or to be in the process of obtaining one.
- Preferred experience working in an outpatient clinical setting.
