Psychotherapist Intern

About the role#

Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinic in Coral Gables. This position involves providing clinical care to patients aged five and older, including adults, adolescents, and children. Interns operate as independent contractors with the flexibility to determine their own working hours.

What you'll do#

• Conduct psychological assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions for diverse mental health conditions.
• Deliver various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in the field.

What you'll need#

• A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
• An active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.
• Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.

Location & details#

• Location: Coral Gables, Florida.
• Modality: On-site with options for telemedicine. Offices are open for in-person appointments Monday through Thursday, with telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday.
• Compensation: $35 - $40 per billable hour.
