Psychotherapist Intern

About the role#

Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient mental health clinic. This role involves providing comprehensive mental health services to patients aged five and older. Interns will work as independent contractors with the flexibility to determine their own working hours.

What you'll do#

• Provide psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for a variety of mental health conditions.
• Deliver various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services rendered in compliance with company policies.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development to stay current with advancements in the field.

What you'll need#

• A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
• An active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.
• Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.

Location & details#

• Location: Port Saint John, Florida.
• Modality: On-site with options for telemedicine.
• Compensation: $35 - $40 per billable hour.
• Schedule: Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth appointments, with additional availability for telemedicine Friday through Sunday.
