About the role#
Halff is looking for a Land Development Intern for our Tampa, Florida office. You will work on the design and construction observation for a variety of public and private infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage systems, and civil site work. This is a full-time, paid internship running from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water/Wastewater, Public Works, and Land Development projects.
- Perform drafting CAD work and complete calculations for design projects.
- Assist with permit applications and regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with team members such as surveyors, architects, and contractors.
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil Engineering or an ABET accredited equivalent.
- Strong communication, relationship building, and team collaboration skills.
- Self-motivation and solid organization skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Tampa, Florida.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Note: Housing is not provided or paid for by the company.
