About the role#
Halff is seeking a Landscape Architecture Intern for our Austin office. You will work with an interdisciplinary team of landscape architects and planners to provide design and production support for public and private projects. Focus areas include park and trail planning, urban plazas, streetscapes, and transportation enhancements.
What you'll do#
- Participate in site inventory and analysis.
- Assist with project research and data compilation to support the design process.
- Produce conceptual site planning and graphics, including hand and digital work.
- Develop schematic and preliminary design plans, construction document plans, and details.
- Create quantity take-offs and develop cost estimates.
- Assist with the preparation of technical specifications for bid documents.
- Produce landscape compliance documents and graphic renderings for planning projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for landscape architecture.
- Strong design and graphic skills.
- Interest in preparing site analysis, conceptual design exhibits, and construction documents.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High level of motivation and strong communication skills.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position based in Austin, Texas.
- The internship runs from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
- This is a full-time, paid position working 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from 8a to 5p.
