About the role#
Toxicology is a key function within Haleon's Clinical Development organization. This team supports the safety of ingredients and products across the company portfolio. As a Co-op, you will support projects focused on toxicology information management, scientific documentation, literature review, and regulatory support. You will gain exposure to how toxicology supports product development, innovation, and safety within a global organization.
What you'll do#
- Review, evaluate, and summarize scientific literature and toxicological data regarding ingredients and impurities.
- Assist with updating toxicology ingredient monographs and identifying data gaps.
- Organize, catalog, and migrate toxicology documents and historical study files.
- Conduct literature searches and update reports to ensure information remains current and accurate.
- Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of scientific and regulatory documentation.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Toxicology, Regulatory Affairs, CMC, and other R&D functions.
- Support initiatives that improve the accessibility, organization, and quality of toxicology information and records.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Public Health, or a related scientific discipline.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Interest in toxicology, consumer safety, regulatory science, or product development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and the ability to work independently.
Location & details#
- Location: Warren, New Jersey.
- Term: Winter 2027 (6 months, starting January 2027).
- Modality: Hybrid (requires 3 days per week in-office).
- Employment: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: Paid position based on academic standing.
