About the role#
H2M architects + engineers is seeking an Electrical Engineering intern to join our team in Melville, New York. This internship provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on current projects. You will gain hands-on experience in the field and participate in professional development workshops. This role runs during the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with construction drawings and specifications.
- Use AutoCAD and Revit for computer drafting tasks.
- Gather and compile project data.
- Conduct site visits and attend client meetings.
- Participate in professional development workshops covering topics like resume writing and presentation skills.
- Prepare and deliver a final presentation detailing your achievements and learning outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a sophomore or higher in an Electrical Engineering or related program at an accredited institution.
- Active pursuit of a bachelor or master degree.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- A strong desire to learn.
