About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship program based in Metairie, Louisiana. You will work 40 hours per week on-site within one of our specialty underwriting teams. This role focuses on building your business skills through hands-on experience in commercial, personal, or professional insurance lines.
What you'll do#
- Participate in agent marketing calls and sit in on client meetings.
- Assist with insurance policy renewals and communicate policy changes or loss notices.
- Use Microsoft Excel to update new business and renewal information.
- Evaluate which programs or markets best fit the needs of agency clients.
- Collaborate with senior leaders on special projects.
What you'll need#
- You are currently an undergraduate student at an accredited university.
- You are pursuing a degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Your expected graduation date is December 2027 or May 2028.
- You have technical skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
