About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship program at Burns & Wilcox. You will join a specialty underwriting team focused on commercial, personal, or professional insurance lines. You will work 40 hours per week in an on-site office setting while learning from executive leadership and your peers.
What you'll do#
- Participate in agent marketing calls and sit in on client meetings.
- Help manage insurance policy renewals.
- Track new business and renewals using Microsoft Excel.
- Evaluate which programs or markets best fit the needs of agency clients.
- Communicate policy changes and loss notices.
- Collaborate with senior leaders on special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate at an accredited university.
- A degree focus in Risk Management and Insurance (preferred), Business, or Finance.
- An expected graduation date in December 2027 or May 2028.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
